As White
Beat the Pirc and Modern
Black hands you the centre. Take it, develop normally, castle, and no pawn storm required.
The Pirc (1...d6 and ...Nf6) and the Modern (1...g6) let White build e4 and d4.
One setup for both. Nc3, Nf3, Be2 and castling meet nearly everything, and the two openings often transpose.
Why it holds up. You keep the space and skip the sharp attacking theory.
