As White

Beat the Caro-Kann

Trade on d5, aim the pieces at the kingside, and make the solid Caro-Kann prove it has a plan.

After 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5, the move 3.exd5 cxd5 4.Bd3 gives White easy development.

The setup. c3 supports d4, Bf4 takes a good diagonal, and Qb3 can pressure b7.

Why it suits you. No long forcing theory, and the same piece placement works in almost every line.
